Released: Total Darkness 2

Hey all!

This is my latest project. It's made for skulltag. It'll be like the original, tight, metalic corridors, and smaller fights consisting of tougher monsters. The mane differences in this map will be the Gameplay and the Detail. TD1 was rather underdetailed. This won't be. I promise ;)

The gameplay will be beter as I'm trying to make a more "frightening" experiance. Please don't flame me for saying that. Anyways, here are some early screens:

Nice detail, does not seem to be over done! Also seems to have the original doom look to it!
Very nice!
BTW try and show some more areas that are less cramped in your next screens.

Looks nice homer I hope to see more spacey looking areas.
It sure looks alot like your first one, not saying that its bad or anything like that.
Keep it up looks nice so far.

But it looks heaps better eh? I'm trying alot on this level, I still have only done 2 and a half rooms. I'm taking my time and fine tuning everything. I'm happy with the way its turninig out though, and I hope you guys will enjoy it when its done ;)

Nah, I'm still modding sitters! And thanks for your post :D

I'll get alot of work done on it on the weekend, you'll see a large amount of the map done then ;)

EDIT: Who actually played the original anyways? Just curious.

I did it was a nice play, it was too bad the map itself wasn't so large.
With my map im working on, im aiming for at least an half an hour of gameplay.
Working on a set of decorate monsters right now, going to add those in too.

Anyway, a new screen! This one shows a part of the outside area where you start. It will barely be detailed, unlike the main base, because its stupid having a road with some dirt around it stand out above anything.

In that "dark tunnel" is a door. But you can't open it. You have to go into that small door on the left and use a switch. Then the fun begins :D

It is a exsample for homer to make shining walls and dynamic lightning. It is not a wad for playing. He can see in doombuilder how to make ded files for doomsday.
