In another forum I go to (the Playstation.com forums), someone posted EGM's "Top Ten Most Influential People in Videogames" and they didn't even mention the guy who made this. It's considered to be the first video game for christ sake! Japan didn't make the first videogame (famous game developers from Japan made up most of their list).
