Reading a recent post made me think about the subject of which countries have a good musical history. Im proud of the british rock and pop history.......

what are the top 10 bands/artists in your country, in your opinion????

British

-Led Zepellin
-Black sabbath
-The Beatles
-The Rollin Stones
-Queen
-Iron Maiden
-The Clash
-David Bowie
-The kinks
-The Who

these arent my favorite but i'd consider them the biggest/most talented.

- cEvin Key (I think he's American)
- Failure

Most bands I listen to come from Britain, Germany, or Belgium. o_o

That's about all I like from my own country. Most of what I listen to is American prog-metal and European (mainly British and German) power and thrash metal.

Although, from the UK, the bands/Musicians I respect the most are:

Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler
Bruce Dickinson
Eric Clapton
Jeff Beck
Elton John before his wrist went limp

From the US:

From Germany:

Nevermore (i'm pretty sure htey were German...)
