DooMer87 Posted July 3, 2005 I have trouble running ultimate doom on my uncle's XP. Music is ok. But if i use sound FX then the framerate becomes terrible when I face an enemy. Please help me i love sound fx i badly miss them 0 Share this post Link to post

EarthQuake Posted July 4, 2005 Check the volume controls in both Windows and ZDoom, specifically the MIDI volume. If it's neither of those, go to Sounds/Audio Properties in the Control Panel, click on the Audio tab and try changing the default MIDI playback device to Microsoft's Synthesizer (might sound nastier, but at least it might work).
