fraggle Posted August 17, 2005 Imps are brown. Is this fur or do they just have brown skin? Discuss. 0 Share this post Link to post
Scero Posted August 17, 2005 I looked it up in the bible, which never fails to tell the real truth about these critters. It makes numerous references to "leathery skin" or just "skin", which of course makes it obvious that the Imps have no fur. Well, i guess one could complain that just because the Imps have skin dosen't mean they do not have fur on the skin, however such arguments are not something i am bothered by. But in order to make this post a bit longer, and to be on the safe side, i will comment on the possibility that people might still believe that Imps have fur: The doomguy does think, quoted out of context, that "her skin might well have been the smoothest silk". Kinda stupid thing to think if there was fur, which we all know tend to be more "silky" than "leathery skin". edit: removed the worst typos 0 Share this post Link to post
darknation Posted August 17, 2005 I aways thought that imps with hair would just be a gigantic darwinian firehazard. 0 Share this post Link to post

Xanthier Posted August 17, 2005 you know when I used to play I always imagined the imps having fur, like a primate, not sure why, maybe its the brown color, I also always imagined real imps being less exaggeratedly angry looking as I'm all about subtlety and think it can be more effective, I'm not into angry browed skeletons that contort their skull somehow against laws of science, but those that are just static are way creepier, esp without eyes. 0 Share this post Link to post
TheDarkArchon Posted August 17, 2005 I say skin. I could never imagine a furry demon. 0 Share this post Link to post

m0l0t0v Posted August 17, 2005 I used to think it was fur, but through the years I started doubting. I cannot picture the original model, used to make the sprite, having hair so I assume it is just skin, which accidentally looks like hair. The model used to make the Revenant had no armor or pants; they were added later on. It is possible that the Imp wasn't intended to have hair, but after some experimenting with the sprites the artist thought it would look cool with a brown/ hairy color. 0 Share this post Link to post

DoOmEr4LiFe Posted August 17, 2005 I always thought that because of the distortion of the graphics for Super Nintendo Doom, Cacodemons looked fuzzy. I even had a period in my life where I called them "Fuzzy". Imps on the other hand I figured it was pretty cut and dry that they have skin. 0 Share this post Link to post
Linguica Posted August 17, 2005 In shock, responding purely to his instinctual hormonal desires, he pulled the imp to her clawed feet and, as she stoodhere trembling, his roving hungry gaze crawled up one side of her leathery body and down the other, drinking in what his eyes beheld. 0 Share this post Link to post
KwadDamyj Posted August 17, 2005 Someone already beat you to using Impse as a reference, Ling. Sorry. :P 0 Share this post Link to post

Darkman 4 Posted August 17, 2005 Skin. It'd completely change Imp Encounter for me if they had fur, as it'd make it seems like some weirdass furry story. 0 Share this post Link to post

St. Doom Posted August 17, 2005 Only furred Demons are the Baron of Hell/hell knight 0 Share this post Link to post
Snarboo Posted August 18, 2005 Definitely skin, although I always thought it would be more along the lines of craggly, shark-like and eczema cursed skin as opposed to leathery. 0 Share this post Link to post
leileilol Posted August 18, 2005 skin, because if they were furry then they'd have chodes on doomuc however, most furries want to believe they are furry so they can exploit them for forry porn (BASTET FURRY AND CHRONO TEETH YOU) 0 Share this post Link to post
St. Doom Posted August 18, 2005 Heh, it seems every furry basher seems to love bashing furs, while themselves are hentai freaks. It's furry, not "FORRY" 0 Share this post Link to post
alando1 Posted August 18, 2005 Three things: 1. I do say that the imp is not furry, only has skin. 2. How is the imp female if it has a male look to it? 3. The Baron of Hell's legs do have somewhat of a fur look. It has goat legs. P.S.: The imps gender has been bothering me ever since I saw the sprite graphic of the marine "doing it" with an imp. Honestly, how do all of you come to the conclusion that a male looking type imp is really female?! -Alando1 0 Share this post Link to post
St. Doom Posted August 18, 2005 They very well could be genderless and be spawned in a hellvat 0 Share this post Link to post
