Xanthier Posted September 7, 2005 Use Doom E3's sky on Doommap01? thanks in advance. 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted September 7, 2005 If you use a source port that doesn't support sky definitions per map: Extract SKY3 from DOOM.WAD and put it into your WAD as RSKY1 (or SKY1 if it is for Doom1.) If it does (like ZDoom): Use the appropriate means. 0 Share this post Link to post

Graf Zahl Posted September 7, 2005 The MAPINFO lump. You may probably need this for other stuff as well. http://www.zdoom.org/wiki/index.php?title=MAPINFO 0 Share this post Link to post
Xanthier Posted September 8, 2005 thanks I found this there, I can still edit MAPINFO using XWE though, right? "// If there was a MAPINFO for Doom 2, this is what it // would look like. ZDoom actually contains this information // inside the executable." 0 Share this post Link to post
Csabo Posted September 9, 2005 Yes you can. If you have CodeMax 2 installed, it will be even syntax highlighted. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xanthier Posted September 9, 2005 when I opened doom2.wad with XWE I used the sort function in the all category, show only -> MAPINFO (from the list)but nothing came up. 0 results, like there was no MAPINFO file. Little help? do I need to be looking at Zdoom and not doom2? 0 Share this post Link to post
Bloodshedder Posted September 9, 2005 um...probably because there never was and never will be MAPINFO lumps inside doom2.wad. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xanthier Posted September 9, 2005 thanks, I suspected as much. Do I add a modified form of the MAPINFO lump to my wad then? 0 Share this post Link to post
