doom3 Posted October 24, 2005 I don't know what is with my computer but when I see spectres, they don't look invisible, they look all pixelly and shiny and screwed up. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Pentium 4 2.4Ghz Ati Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB 512MB PC2700 Ram 0 Share this post Link to post
Coopersville Posted October 24, 2005 screenshot kthnx. Oh, and for your fix. Assuming you're playing Vanilla Doom on Windows XP, just download a port like ZDoom. 0 Share this post Link to post
doom3 Posted October 24, 2005 I tried and it doesn't turn out. EDIT: I got one that will show part of it. The rest of the game looks fine. The screenshot turned out shitty though. http://img308.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image16wh.jpg 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted October 24, 2005 That's a screen grab, they don't look right for most Windows-based engines. To take a screen shot, or to fix the Direct X glitch that makes the Spectres look bad you have to use the command line. To run Doom95 without the visual glitch open DOS, CMD or Command (from Run or from the link on your Start Menu) and type: Doom95 -nodm -emulate The -nodm is always required to bypass the launcher, -emulate clears the glitch. To take screenshots you'd type: Doom95 -nodm -emulate -devparm And to take a screenshot in the game hit F1. Note, you might require other parameters, such as -basewad (and the name of the IWAD) to select between DOOM or DOOM II, and others. Without anything it just goes to the title screen of the first game it finds (usually DOOM II.) This Google Groups thread has all the Doom95 commands. 0 Share this post Link to post
