semper-in-excreta Posted October 30, 2005 My suggestions for background music: Resident Evil Main Theme - Marilyn Manson The 28 Days Later soundtrack. Prodigy's greatest hits album (just released). Exploration Of Space (Radio Edit) - Cosmic Gate Fight Club Soundtrack Some Rammstein songs. Smells Like Children - Manson's 1995 album Spinwarp songs. Please don't hate on my music tastes, but most of these songs are great dark ambient. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nmn Posted October 30, 2005 Hmm.. interesting. My suggestions PSX Doom soundtrack Craddle of filth-Midian Behemoth-Satanica (too much satan though :/) Massmouth D_Reeye (or MM2 map 03 mid-cool) btw, what the fuck does this have to do with wads/mods? 0 Share this post Link to post
semper-in-excreta Posted October 30, 2005 Do you want music that EVERYONE has been listening to for all the YEARS doom has been played? Or something fresh with the WOW factor for your personal wad or mod? 0 Share this post Link to post
Nmn Posted October 30, 2005 When I want something with the WOW/OMG/K3WL/UBAR factor I'll ask Damian (Lexus) to make me some music for the wad. Period. Although in this very moment in history of space time I completely lack an inner subconciousnal feeling to do so. Strange. 0 Share this post Link to post
semper-in-excreta Posted October 30, 2005 You can't forget the: "I've heard this before, it's foreign, but it just fits so damn well. Kudos to the now god-like wad creator who implemented this awesome music" factor. I like that title. God-like. 0 Share this post Link to post

188DarkRevived Posted October 30, 2005 ellmo said:What is this topic about? I don't seem to get it... I believe it's about the type of music which you wish to hear in the background while you play through your favourite DOOM maps, or something along those lines. And personally, yes, I would gladly go with some industrialized trances of The Prodigy. They fit a classic tech-base map perfectly, IMO. 0 Share this post Link to post
Belial Posted October 30, 2005 Even though Exploration Of Space and Back To Earth are great tracks I really can't imagine how techno could work well in Doom. mm2mus.wad + ROTT ftw 0 Share this post Link to post

Wheeeereee is myy mind? Way. Out. In the water, see it swimming. if someone could make a wad that fit the general feel of that song, that would be awesome. (Where Is My Mind - Pixies) heh I'm proud to say I heard the song BEFORE I saw the movie too, one of the few from what people tell me :P 0 Share this post Link to post
semper-in-excreta Posted October 30, 2005 Where is my mind isn't on the soundtrack, it's the dust brothers compilation. 0 Share this post Link to post
insertwackynamehere Posted October 31, 2005 you sure? its whats played right at the end of the movie.. 0 Share this post Link to post
semper-in-excreta Posted October 31, 2005 Its played at the end of the movie, but it's not on the official soundtrack listing. Only the Dust Brother ambient compilation is on the CD. 0 Share this post Link to post

pcorf Posted November 1, 2005 The Map15 song from Memento Mori is quite nice, the Organ makes it feel creepy. And all my songs of course. :D 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted November 2, 2005 I've never liked industrial/techno music in Doom because I heard so much of it in Q3A and UT that I quickly got sick of it. I like to have some nice heavy rockin' tunes (usually underground 80's thrash, death, doom black or grind), but sometimes it's also cool to use PSX Doom/Doom64 tracks. 0 Share this post Link to post
Belial Posted November 2, 2005 death, doom black or grind We need a hr2mus.wad :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Predat Posted November 5, 2005 I listen to Alice in Chains and Delta 9 when I play DOOMClassic. I also notice a huge resemblance between several alice in chains songs and the DOOM II soundtrack music. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bashe Posted November 5, 2005 Please don't make a thread about it! Anyways, I usually just listen to the Doom music when I play Doom unless I'm screwing around and want to hear something different. 0 Share this post Link to post

-_DLD_- Posted November 15, 2005 Here are some songs that could be tailored to DooM easily (and they're inspiring a mapset I'm working on): Metal Militia - Metallica Motorbreath - Metallica Whiplash - Metallica Jump in the Fire - Metallica Lobby Scene - The Matrix Mission: Impossible Combat Theme - Mortal Kombat 0 Share this post Link to post
