myk Posted November 18, 2005 Those three DOOM II maps (08, 23, 30) have well defined designs. They may be a bit sloppy, but stand out for themselves with legit elements (barrel games, assorted tricks, and boss-centrism) and only Map08 gets a bit weak after you know it well (though daunting at first.) The issue with the weaker TNT: Evolution maps is a lack of focus; they are just "maps" and their key elements are sometimes unimportant (some theme, a pointless "ambient" or "detail" effect, clunky and dull new textures, etc.) I'd rather have a crude but fun map than a fuller but less fun one. 0 Share this post Link to post
