I take it from the comments received from all that regulars don't like old threads to be bumped??? Fine, I guess. But what if a "Newbie" wants to add to that particular thread, because he or she doesn't find any of the new threads worthwhile to post to? :D

P.S. Almost thought DC was a new slang term on the net, before I saw your name. Seems someone else besides myself adds their name to posts as well, which is cool......no sarcasm meant or intended. I did that all the time at this WWF board I used to visit.

Well, the mods don't particularly like it and are liable to close such threads unless maybe what you have to say is relevant or important. Your reply isn't relevant at all.

This thread isn't all that old however. Then again, I'm not a mod.

I take it you meant that it wasn't long and/or well worded enough? If so, why should replies look like college essay responses to be relevant?

To a point you may be right......but IMO I stayed on topic in my replies and answered posts quickly and succinctly.


P.S. Enough off-topic, back to the thread.......I hope the guys suing over this get laughed at on every talk show across the country at the same time. They are that idiotic, moronic, and stupid.

Who sues over stuff that isn't real anyways? Will kids sue over not getting enough from the tooth fairy or Santa Claus next???

I think the basic reason we try to discourage old-thread-bumpage is that if a thread has ceased generating posts, it's probably reached a point where all the relevant points have been made, or it's degenerated to the point that nobody gives a flying rat's testicle about it anymore. Seeing an old thread bumped on the list, or getting an email about a thread I don't remember seeing in a month or two makes me wary that some assmonkey has decided to drool into a thread we stopped caring about ages ago.

But at least you typed instead.
