Doom Turns 12

Happy birthday Doom! That's right, today marks the 12th anniversary of the original shareware release of Doom for the PC. While I can't say we've got anything in particular planned (edit: yes we do, see below), I suggest taking a bit of time today to navigate the site and especially the idgames archive to find some great wads to play. While you're at it, check out the Doom Advent Calendar for a new wad to play every day of the month!

Damn, I've been playing this game for longer than either of my kids have been alive - my daughter is a couple of weeks younger than Doom.

Oh well, I suppose next year Doom will be a teenager. It'll probably start smoking, throw parties when I'm not home, hang around bus shelters and intimidate pensioners. :)

Which I am glad to say [Jägermörder 2] is, a fantastic map capable of running on all ports Boom compatible.

It actually only runs in ZDoom.

You should've delayed the Caco Awards until after New Year's so Crucified Dreams could win the Mordeth award instead. But there's always 2006...
