Black screen in 3d mode

I was working on a level when I went into 3d mode, only to find everything black. It only occurs on this map, so I'm assuming the camera is just lost - are there any shortcuts that will take the camera back to the player start?

The default key to place the 3d start on the mouse cursor is CTRL-W.

Or, if you know it's still on your map, you can use the find tool. Select "thing type" and enter "32000" (without the quotes) in the dialog box. If DB doesn't find anything, then that means it's not there, so you can just place another one into your wad were you want it.

You can only have one 3D start in your map, so pressing CTRL-W will move a existing 3D start to the mouse cursor, or create one if it didn't exist yet.

I once had that problem, and the reason was that the 3d mode start was everywhere - whenever I moved my mouse out of my level I got a 3d mode start in Things mode. So I just positioned my mouse randomly and pressed Delete. That fixed it.
I don't know what causes this, possibly by the 3d mode start being over the red line?
