No matter what i do.. now matter what i check, no matter how many ways i know of, In testing the door i made it wont open when its down fully and im on the other side -_- does anyone else have this problem?

nope, Doom builder is the one i use.

and on a off topic question: are there better freeware editors out there??

Here's a few ideas about what could be wrong:

1. Maybe the linedef is set to "walk over" instead of "presses use"
2. It's not repeatable
3. The linedef may be facing the wrong way

Thanks ichor, i forgot that you had to draw the door sector -after- you drew the two other sectors.. or the lines wont face the right way x.x

If the linedef is facing the wrong direction in DB, then just highlight it and hit the F key. It will flip whatever lindef you have highlighted.
