Port to other Platforms? [Linux]

Recommended Posts

If you don't mind me asking, CodeImp, what kind of programming language is used for Doom Builder? I just recently started using Linux and Mac OS X as my primary platforms, and was wondering if anyone has tried using Doom Builder through an emulator, such as WINE, or if there is a more direct port? Obviously, things would be a lot easier if it were in a language such as Java, but I was thinking it was made in .net for some reason.

Would you be willing to make the source available for a project such as this?

DB uses and older version of VB, hence doesn't require the .NET framework. However, difficulty of porting it will range from very difficult to impossible because it's written in VB.

Thanks for the quick response. I got it up and running in a virtual machine. It's a bit sluggish, but I guess it will have to do for now.
