RandomMarine Posted February 3, 2006 At the very beginning of the SB email "secret identity", Strong bad types "strongbad_email.wad" *nomally its .exe* and says "initiate SBemail refresh daemon". Anyone else notice that before me? Link to it. http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail142.html 0 Share this post Link to post
Naked Snake Posted February 3, 2006 Yeah, I noticed the day it came out and I mentioned it on IRC. However, the version I saw was different. He typed in .wad instead of .exe and it said "Refresh Init Daemon" like Doom, and SB said "whoa, that's never happened before", then it showed a fresh screen and he typed in .exe instead. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted February 4, 2006 That was cute, but I personally thought the death metal email was funnier. 0 Share this post Link to post
Technician Posted February 4, 2006 I would never have caught that. That jokes pretty funny. Besides Strong Bad e-mails I find Home star rather irritating. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nick Perrin Posted February 9, 2006 I think the series is going downhill. They still have their funny moments but the new emails and toons aren't as good as the past ones in my opinion. And yes I caught that doom reference but forgot about it until I read this... EDIT: Hey wait a minute!BBG said and I also should have said:However, the version I saw was different. He typed in .wad instead of .exe and it said "Refresh Init Daemon" like Doom, and SB said "whoa, that's never happened before", then it showed a fresh screen and he typed in .exe instead. 0 Share this post Link to post

Bloodshedder Posted February 11, 2006 Only the zip files are limited to eight characters. 0 Share this post Link to post
TheDarkArchon Posted February 11, 2006 Also, /idgames isn't the only place in the world to get WAD's. 0 Share this post Link to post
