Piezo Posted February 16, 2006 What if they just genetically engineered farm animals with minimal brains? That way they won't consciously feel anything and just be big meat plants. Everybody wins! 0 Share this post Link to post

Technician Posted February 16, 2006 It’s the anti-biotic resistant germs is what scares me. It’s quite an epidemic. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bucket Posted February 16, 2006 Yes, I realize that something had to die in order to sustain me. I realize that by the time the food reaches my mouth, it's had plenty of time to collect bacteria. Yawn! *Goes to make himself a rat-droppings-and-sawdust sandwich* 0 Share this post Link to post
Snarboo Posted February 16, 2006 99.9% of bacteria is harmless, is my understanding. It's the deadly .1% that gets you, along with viruses, which are resistant against antibiotics and pretty much anything else you throw at them. Ironically, the less we expose ourselves to bacteria in our sterilized society, the more susceptible we become to them. We have to build up an immunity in order to survive against something. 0 Share this post Link to post

If people are worried about hormones and antibiotics in their animal products, nothing short of their own will is stopping them from not eating/using them. 0 Share this post Link to post

Janderson Posted February 18, 2006 It was pretty funny but it sort of dragged on. As long as it tingles those tastebuds just right, I don't care much where my food comes from. Also, slightly related, I hate Jamie Oliver. 0 Share this post Link to post

Heh, that plus a Meatrix animation that might get them into the subject. 0 Share this post Link to post
Scabbed Angel Posted February 19, 2006 I beleive I've eaten a product from a company called Happy Farms before... huh.. 0 Share this post Link to post
Naked Snake Posted February 19, 2006 Luckily, upstate NY does not suffer from this problem, as we support our local farmers by purchasing their products. Of course, we do have factory farms, but they are far from "livelyhood destroying". 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted February 21, 2006 While I totally agree with that statement made by this surprisingly funny cartoon, I love meat and there's not really anything I can do to change how it arrives on my doorstep. 0 Share this post Link to post
