Ezxariarch Posted February 24, 2006 If you are using Dbbuilder. You can make a new wad and just make maps from that wad. All your maps will be saved itno it. If you have seperate wads, use FILE -> Save Map into, and then select the wad you wish to transfer the wad to. You can also just use WINTEX, Height al lthe entries in the maps section and EDIT -> Copy entries ->open the wad you wish to transfer the maps into and EDIT ->Paste Entries and that should take care of it. 0 Share this post Link to post

You can edit what it says with Zdoom's MAPINFO lump. You can set what texture you want to use there as well. 0 Share this post Link to post

EarthQuake Posted February 25, 2006 You don't need MAPINFO to change the level names that appear after each level is over. You can do that by replacing the appropriate graphics in your wad. Just export the ones you want to change from your doom2.wad, edit them, and insert them into your pwad with the same name. As for changing the names in the automap, you will have to use dehacked and modify the [STRINGS] section. You can also change the interlevel text messages via dehacked, as well as the flat used for each. All relevant data can be changed in the [STRINGS] section. Now your wad will display correct names in all Boom based ports, and not just in ZDoom/Skulltag/ZDaemon. Download WhackEd2 by Exl and try messing around with it. A few last things: make sure your are using the Boom configuration. After you've created your dehacked patch, insert it into your wad with the name DEHACKED. Optionally, you might want to include the patch externally for ports that don't support internal dehacked patches (althought I don't know of any). 0 Share this post Link to post
