myk Posted March 4, 2006 No one can help you with a post like that, or take you seriously; if you really want help post your statusbar wad somewhere, either on rapidshare or on a simple page (geocities or whatever.) 0 Share this post Link to post
EarthQuake Posted March 4, 2006 Sounds like your graphics are not of similar size to the originals. It also sounds like you have not replaced all the graphics either. 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted March 5, 2006 If they are the same size, they could be in the wad at unusual offsets. Use a tool such as XWE, DeePsea or Wintex to check and adjust the offsets. 0 Share this post Link to post
JonTTu111 Posted March 6, 2006 Is that offset thing like same as doom builder? 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted March 6, 2006 I don't know, I don't use DB. My understanding is that it doesn't do much lump management, so probably not. You're probably thinking of texture alignment on a wall. I'm talking about the offset values given to individual graphics within the WAD. This affects the position they are drawn on screen. Load your WAD into XWE, click on one of your graphic entries and see what the numbers to the right of the W:Auto button says. The original STFEVL0 graphic, for example, has offsets of -5, -2. 0 Share this post Link to post
JonTTu111 Posted March 7, 2006 Okay. thanks. But is all thoose statusbar heads have same offset. 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted March 7, 2006 They have similar offsets, but they are not all the same. If you really want to, open Doom.wad or Doom2.wad in XWE and have a look at the graphics to find out what the offsets are. The offsets for your graphics do not have to be the same, but you do need to place them properly to make your graphic appear as you want. Chances are your's are imported at typical sprite offsets, or something, and that could well be enough to push them off the screen. 0 Share this post Link to post
