Why do so many people make fun of Linguica?

When I checked Doom wiki, it said that Linguica built most of Doomworld. So why do the creators of Skull Tag, Mass mouth, and other people in the Doom world community make fun of him so much?

I thought it was the other way around...

I recall a number of occassions where Linguica tormented me in the Doomworld chat room I think for being celibate. :-p
