Music does not play

I am sure someone has figured this out. I can hear all sounds (shots etc.) but no music. I am playing on XP and have a fairly old Audigy SB. I have tried the VDN sound, but I may not be doing something correctly. Any help will be appreciated.

If you'd rather the port be as much like the original DOS version as possible, you would probably want to look up Chocolate Doom.

Thanks for all the inputs. The port worked. Now if I can get all my other old games to work.
