Craigs Posted March 10, 2006 I've been having a very annoying bug lately with Doom Builder. I'll drawing my sectors, tagging my lines, texturing my walls, etc., when I decide it's time to go into 3d view to do a little bit of texture alignment. I press the key bound to 3d view, then BAM! Doom Builder crashes! Why does it do this and what can I do to prevent it? 0 Share this post Link to post

Xtife Posted March 11, 2006 rofl well i didnt mean to totaly turn you off to it, but thats the truth :) you can use 1.66 which is more stable but less features. i think theres some sorta extended build of 1.67 that fixed SOME bugs floating around you could also try SLADE, but there are a few things missing from it i use the extended build, the remaining bugs arent so bad. but you should save alot 0 Share this post Link to post
Hobbs Posted March 11, 2006 Either use 1.66 (follow the cough) or SLADE, depending on how comfortable you are with how DB works. I use 1.66, and while it does still crash it doesnt crash every time a pidgeon farts like 1.67 did. Alternatively you could learn to map with XWE ;). 0 Share this post Link to post
Dutch Doomer Posted March 11, 2006 Doombuilder doesn't like you Craigs :P, mapping with XWE never tried that. Would't be an nice community project, make an map with XWE ;) Im using 1.67 and im too stubborn to downgrade to 1.66 I just save my work often. 0 Share this post Link to post
