Drax Posted March 15, 2006 Hey, I am studying BSC Computer Games Devlopement at university and one of my assignment is to make a game in gamemaker (not great I know), but I was wondering if anyone knew where/how I could get of the orginal gun animations for the orginal doom (if not any will do), as I have searched the net high and low for these and have only managed to get modified ones or user created ones. Don't worry about any copyright laws as I was told we wont be allowed to sell any games we make for assignments to make any money. Thanks for anyhelp you guys can give! 0 Share this post Link to post
Infinite Ammunition Posted March 15, 2006 search for wintex or xwe, you can extract the originals from doom with those 0 Share this post Link to post
EarthQuake Posted March 15, 2006 Keep in mind you'll need the original game for its doom.wad/doom2wad. It's $10-20 for the whole Doom, Doom II, Final Doom package at Walmart. Otherwise you could just rip the sprites from the shareware version, which excludes the Plasma Rifle and BFG 9000 iirc. You can download this for free from various sites. XWE: http://www.doomworld.com/xwe/ I prefer this much more over WinTex. 0 Share this post Link to post
Drax Posted March 15, 2006 Hey, Guys thanks for the help, I got XWE, and it works great I can now get the orginal sounds to instead of using a crappy one shot pistol sound for a shotgun ;) If I finish it I'll be sure to upload it somewhere and post a download link ;) Thanks 0 Share this post Link to post
