cant load maps in DOOM Collecters Edition

iv just made my first map with DOOM Builder, the map is fine but when i run it with DOOM CE it takes me to the window were you choose level and difficulty. then when i click on start it just loads up a new game, not my level. is there any way i can play my maps in DOOM CE?

When Doom Builder asked you to name your map, did you name it MAP01 or equivalent?

Yes, i named it MAP01. but no matter what i named it DOOM 2 would just start a new game.

You mean Doom95? If you didn't add any "enhanced" features or chose an enhanced map format while building the map, then yes. Are you browsing for your map (your new wad file) where it says "Custom WAD file" in the Doom95 launcher? Make sure you also chose the right game (DOOM or DOOM II) and the right level (usually E1M1 or Map01, depending on the game.)
