I'll delete them when I get everything tweaked and details added. that's just a rough sketch! ;) still, I've never mapped but simple dm maps and I must say being limited to 1024 really IS a challenge! I can't wait until I get over this mapper's hump and get into making maps outside this such small range. You can just pick your best 3 as entries to the competition. I also went and did a map myself. As I'm supposed to be a judge, this obviously isn't an official entry or anything, but I've had this idea knocking around for a while and wanted to try it out. Tango Posted April 15, 2006 Great map, Flange Peddler. The concept was awesome, and your use of Boom effects was excellent. I kept trying for 100% kills (I probably spent at least 30 minutes on this), though the most I ever got was something like 75%. Tango Posted April 17, 2006 Both of those were awesome maps, great work. Dutch Devil, I loved it how you made the map seem like it was much bigger than a small 1024x1024 square. And Torn, you had an awesome use of the stock Doom 2 textures. Edit: Here's a screenshot of my (first) entry.
