Levels of Architecture

Looking for levels that exhibit certain famous architectures, from Roman Classicalism, Gothic Architecture, etc.

Can anyone name any usefull wads? I want to find inspiration for detail.

Phobos:Anomaly Reborn, Deus Vult, Equinox, and Vrack all have great detail and architecture.

As for certain kinds of architecture, I would go with Gothic DM for Gothic and Eternal Doom (later levels) for Midieval.

Hmm, specific historically themed stuff, there should be quite a few that qualify... here are the Roman baths and Trinity College. Here's a basilica, and here's another. Map20 of Alien Vendetta is a Pyramid (I recall more Egyptian stuff from other wads), and maps 7, 9-11 and 23 are castle or fortress scenarios.

Don't know if Hexen is your deal, but you might want to keep an eye on our team's next project - while most work on the Arena mod, work on the maps has begun, and the aim is at "realistic" medieval set.
