TheLazenby Posted March 26, 2006 How would one go about ripping a song from a ROM, like was done on the Doom Depot site? I've been trying to get a clean copy of the Ziggurat Vertigo music from "Quake 64" for years... 0 Share this post Link to post
Technician Posted March 27, 2006 I've been searching for the Quake 64 music for along time but with no luck. I think Doom Depot re-recorded the sounds not ripped them. Thats all I know. 0 Share this post Link to post
TheLazenby Posted March 27, 2006 Yes, unfortunately it would be very difficult to record Ziggurat from the game itself - you'd get the sounds of the enemies' grenades going "tink!" over it, I think... 0 Share this post Link to post

Rotting Corpse Posted March 28, 2006 Well, you might want to try looking at some Mugen sites for tutorials. There a couple of good ones about ripping sounds form emu. I just cant reamber the url. But, I'm sure they will pop up in google. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sporku Posted March 29, 2006 http://www.halleyscometsoftware.com/usf/sets/prelim/ this may or may not have it. You'll need a USF plugin for something like Winamp. 0 Share this post Link to post
Technician Posted March 29, 2006 Thanks alot Spork. Now if I can make these into waves or mp3s 0 Share this post Link to post
Sporku Posted March 29, 2006 Winamp's waveOut output plugin is handy for just that sort of thing, as it'll output to a WAV file. You could then convert it to MP3 using an encoder of your choice (can't name any good ones). 0 Share this post Link to post
Bloodshedder Posted March 29, 2006 Not waveOut, DiskWriter. Use LAME for MP3 encoding. 0 Share this post Link to post
