E1-style maps or megawads

So I just replayed Episode one and I forgot how fun playing that was. I dunno about you guys, but there's something about the atmosphere and the flow of the action that is so refreshing after playing countless numbers of other games (MGS3:Subsistance to be exact :p). I dunno, I really can't explain it.

Anyways, I've got a question to ask:

Are there any other wads or megawads that capture the same feeling of the Episode 1 maps? The only one I can really think of on the top of my head is 2002: A Doom Odessy.

It doesn't matter if it's for Doom or Doom2. Of course, it would be preferable if it's for Doom.

There are many. Off the top of my head:

Dawn of the dead, the two classic episodes, fava beans, chretro, return01, the e1 contest wad, as well as some single maps or maps that appear in some megawads, like maps 24 and 31 of Memento Mori II.

A few more: Simply Phobos (pe1_phob), Phobos Revisited (phobos-v), Fear Complex (fearcomp), Real World 2 (rw2), Phobos - Relive The Nightmare (relive), Cleimos 2 (cleim20) map20.

No, I don't think so, but I would also count "The Classic Episode" to the E1 styled wads

more widely precisely: doom1 styled wads. Nostalgy feeder wads, what else? :)
And if kdizd still looks in the projects as a cdoom3-like remake for zdoom (i don't care 'bout that supposed leak anyway), then i'll be sadly disappointed if we'll still be shooting to oblivion the same nice guys, the zombies, the imps, the demons and their two daddies (lol,) the BRuiSER BRotHERs.
