The ultimate thread about my top 100 Single Player Wads with hyperlinks, so just click and download, if you don’t have these maps already! They are alphabetically arranged (the numbers just support your orientation). “[NIA]” means “NOT in the http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/ - archives”, so the wad is on a different website… and to the Source Ports: I recommend using Zdoom as you can see :-P!

I can't believe you listed h2hxmas before a wad like RTC-3057.

EDIT: My bad, I didn't notice that you had listed them in alphabetical order first. (I should have actually read your post also)

BTW, why have you listed all the wads as Zdoom wads, unless they demand something different (such as Legacy)? For instance, the numerous Doom2.exe wads you listed as Zdoom wads etc.

I can't make a list of 100 wads. I can't think of that many wads that I really like.

Yeah, there's some misinformation here for sure. Some of those listed as requiring Zdoom don't even work correctly with it.

Anyone deciding to play these wads is recommended to read the text-files to see what port requirements (if any) they have. Even those that do require Zdoom may require a specific version of it, for instance.

Why doesn't the IDGames search utility let you search by criteria like source port, single/multiplayer, cooperative starts, and rating? Because then you could get a dynamic community view of what's good and what's not, and people could vote down stuff that's on top that shouldn't be and so on...

Sure, you can recommend people to use ZDoom. There's nothing wrong with that. But you could just as well list the real ports and tell people that it's better to use some advanced port instead.

It would make it easier to spot wads that take advantage of ZDoom features, too.

This looks like an interesting list, anyway. I'll be sure to check it out the next time I feel like getting some new Doom maps.

But all those wads don't run like they are meant to with Zdoom. (like Grazza already stated)
