Favorite Cartoons?

Recommended Posts

List some of your favorite cartoons and why you like them.

1.)Aeon Flux
2.)Daria
3.)Home Movies

Aeon Flux - It's funny because I went in to watching Aeon Flux with this notion that it was a battle between Aeon who is working to fight off against an oppressive government led by Trevor. Instead, I got this philosophical, unclear of who is bad, type material...and I loved it. I was surprised as I watched from one episode to the next the relationship between Aeon and Trevor getting deeper. I gradually really started to like Trevor and ended up being probably my favorite character in the cartoon.

Daria Funny, cynical humor.

Home Movies I love Home Movies because not only is it funny but its appropriate and enjoyable for both kids and adults.

Erkay, let's see:

1) King Of The Hill; redneck texas humor without retarded conservatives

2) Flintstones -- what other G rated cartoons had subject matter such as organized crime, murders, insurance fraud, attempted suicide, etc? Awesome for that and more. Too bad I haven't seen an episode in 10+ years.

3) Simpsons before they outsourced their animation to India.

Futurama: Props for being one of the only TV shows to include an AYB referance (before AYB was run into the ground) deserved at least one more season (or a movie *fingers crossed*).

The Simpsons: I'll be kind and say that it was still funny untill about season 9.

Cowboy Beebop: The anime for people who don't like anime.

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet were amusing. Other than that, I liked the classics: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, Inspector Gadget, etc.

Ditto.

Though when I was a child, TMNT / Bucky O' Hare (green furries lol) / David the Gnome / GI Joe / He-man was the shit.

These days, I'd say these are my favorites:

-Serial Experiments Lain: I love this show's storyline, artwork, and music. I just wish I could figure out what happened to Lain's sister.

-Onegai Teacher: I have a thing for teachers. Plus, it's pretty funny at times.

-Futurama: Mainly I like this one for its humor and references.

There's many others which I like, but I can't say that they're my favorites.

I'm going to assume that you don't live in Texas. When you're greeted by that level of idiocy every time you walk out the door, watching a TV show about it is just painfull.

Simpsons Futurama Family guy are all sweet.

Boondocks are a pretty intrestic show too.

But I don't feel particularly amorous about any comic shows. Would be nice if they showed some nice cyberpunk shows on the tv where I live.

Sounds like me with the movie "anger management."

My other favorites are/were...

If I wasn't too lazy I'd list why I liked them all, but oh well.

The Maxx
- Excelent atmosphere, based on one of the best comic series ever written.
Ren and Stimpy
- Great to watch on mushrooms, there's a psychotic freakout in every episode.
The Head
- The first season was awesome.

Daria
Beavis and Butthead
Old Ninja Turtles
Sonic The Hedgehog
Super Mario Super Show
ZELDA!
Spawn, on HBO

Came of age just as the MTV generation was peaking out. What can I say.

Holy crap, watching that intro brought back so many great memories of that cartoon. Eek the cat was awesome.

As for my favorites, here's some I can remember off the top of my head:

Rocko's modern life
Eek the cat.
Family Guy (not the newest season, though)
King of the Hill (although, I admit that I haven't seen any of the newer episodes though.)
