Heroes of Might and Magic V is quite good, really.

I've been an avid fan of the series since the second installment...backed off with the fourth (only to return to the third) but have been very happy with the latest, the fifth. It does a good job of combining all the aspects of the previous games and omitting some of the bad features. I suppose this is more relevant to those who have played the series, but even for newcomers, it's a good game to try.

So it's better than 4? I loved 2 and 3, but 4 had the most irritating ai ever.

It's way, way better than IV. In fact, it has little in common with it, luckily. I'd say this is on par of II and III; it's what IV should've been.

Sounds good, maybe me and my friends will start playing heroes hot seat multiplayer again sometime :P. We used to do that all the time with heroes 3, was fun stuff.
