Official Demo Request Thread

Can a slaughter specialist please do something with Darkwave24? Some good time saving tactics are surely possible by rushing to activate stuff, but even simply surviving would be nice to see. Last time I tried it I got owned in the final fight.

Yeah some great runs by v1perk1ller although I think the modified baron can make a bit of a difference in some maps like the 28

he's got some skills (iirc his bs01max is only 1 second off the current record) but yeah the endless Arnie quotes et al. are not my style either :p

Here is a demo I made for darkwave24 after rdwpa coaxed me into paying it during stream.

I die once at the end to a stupid vile.. but that is it.. that I remember anyways. This map was fun though. Once I clear my schedule of demos I want to make I'll make a max for this one. If someone finds something interesting strategy wise in this demo then I say go for it!

Sunder map 2 non-assisted UV speed. Sunder map 2 NM speed.

Doom episode 1 pacifist. Doom episode 3 pacifist (it's easier than EP1, I think).

Some TAS requests:

 

Hell Revealed map 32 tyson.

Kamasutra map 27 tyson.

Kamasutra map 28 tyson.

I think these are among the hardest maps to tyson from the DSDA top 20 wads.

Since the thread is basically revitalized as of right now, I have one request:
Temple of Spider General demos, I remember trying to test out if this map is possible NoMo but I got stuck compared to playing it normally, so I'm not sure what that was about. Complevel 2, don't think it works on doom2.exe.

Edit to clarify: It's assigned to MAP01

Well, I doubt eps 2 or 3 Tyson of Plutonia are feasible, especially ep 3. Unless you mean TAS. :^) And pl2 doesn't even have close to an IL table, probably a bit early to discuss movies.

Either TAS or not, not phased. TAS's are better to watch but doesn't worry me.

Well this post will be here for many years, maybe it will happen :)

in a casual playing i got also 3 times locked in wrong designed secrets or rooms. also looks very long to memorize and finish.. ill pass to someone with more free time!

I'd like to see a UV run of Doomed: By the Hour's MAP28. No specific category, just wanting to know how to weave through the mass of monsters successfully. I've tried it a few times ever since playing the WAD last year but never figured out how to carve a way through the monsters.

I'll be giving this an attempt myself, but in case I never post a successful demo, I'd love to see a UV-Speed (maybe even a Pacifist) of Literalism MAP23.

 

There's a trick involved that I discovered myself while playing casually yesterday - with a well-placed Cyberdemon rocket, you can get wedged between the exit door and the bloodfall blocking it and skip a decent portion of the map that way. A glide might also be possible.
