Why XWE not understand 256-color bitmaps as sprite?

I have all day maked a mod to ZDooM. I can't make a new sprites because XWE change the to images allways when I change them to sprites. What should I do.

Are you on the "sprites" tab when you upload them to the WAD? I have little experience with XWE myself, so I don't think this is the only "make sure you do this" comment to make.

Use the option "Entry->Load (Raw data)"

That way it will just import "as-is" and won't convert it to the doom palette or anything like that.
