Checkmate Posted July 10, 2006 As an example: In doombuilder you have a square sector. In sector mode when the mouse pointer is outside the sector(in void space) a linedef of the square is still highlighted. It also highlights the square when it's inside it. How do you gurus fix this? 0 Share this post Link to post
Quast Posted July 10, 2006 edit the linedef so it references the proper sector 0 Share this post Link to post
Chopkinsca Posted July 10, 2006 Find the lines which are with incorrect sector refrences and set them to the proper value. You'll notice that on the same tab as setting line textures, there's a sector field for each side. All the sides facing a sector will have the same sector reference number. Best bet is to have someone explain it better than I can. 0 Share this post Link to post
Checkmate Posted July 10, 2006 I've already fixed several problems by fiddling with the references. Thanks a lot guys! 0 Share this post Link to post
Scuba Steve Posted July 10, 2006 Dmapedit used to be the best editor for handling things like this... where you could click in any enclosed space and the editor would reference all sidefs facing that space to be a new sector. Why do no other editors do this? 0 Share this post Link to post
GGG Posted July 11, 2006 What you probably had was a linedef facing the wrong direction. Flipping the linedef always solved the problem for me and may be easier than meddling with all the references. 0 Share this post Link to post
