DooM Builder and other wad editing utilities do not incorporate graphics creating/editing programs (although DeepSea links to existing graphics programs on your computer such as MS Paint). To create or edit new sprites you will need an "art program" as you labeled it. Photoshop is far superior to MS Paint, but MS Paint is free.

Thanks. The GIMP is like the shit. Kick the snot out of paint. Also do I use whacked or xwe to extract the cyberdemon images?

Use XWE select the entries, you can click on the top cyberdemon entry scroll to the bottom cyberdemon entry press and hold shift and click it. then when they are selected, go to entry, save as...
