Big_al Posted November 14, 2001 I believe with Legacy you can embed Dehacked files in your WAD. Anyone know how you do this? Is it just a case of inserting the file as a lump? 0 Share this post Link to post
Espi Posted November 14, 2001 Yes, you just insert it as a lump with the name DEHACKED. 0 Share this post Link to post
XDelusion Posted November 14, 2001 Wooaa! What!??! I can atatch a DEH file to my WAD files!?!?! Can you give me a little detailed explanation on how to insert these lumps, where, and with what tools? Thankx!!! 0 Share this post Link to post
Big_al Posted November 15, 2001 Call you Dehacked file "DEHACKED.DEH" Load you wad into XWE program. Chose "Entry" the "Load" and pick the "DEHACKED.DEH" and it should be inserted as a DEHACKED lump. Seems to work for me with latest Legacy. 0 Share this post Link to post
XDelusion Posted November 16, 2001 Aghh just figured this out, so I save from XWE to a lump file, then attatch that to the wad in DeePsea. Awsome. 0 Share this post Link to post
SpinSpyder_KaK_ Posted November 23, 2001 I've been doing this for a while with Wintex. You select lumps, load the patch as a lump with the name DEMO1 so you can load it, then rename it to DEHACKED and there ya go. You can do the same with .bex files. Yep, I'm special. 0 Share this post Link to post

You can directly edit, export and save any text lump to and from your level in DeePsea. Primarily useful for EDGE stuff, but any name is ok, such as DEHACKED:) Press F7 and use the "Any Lump Names" buttons. Edit, Export and Save. 0 Share this post Link to post
