It's from the episode "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?" (season 2, episode 13) which aired for the first time on February 21st, 1991, some 6 months before the SNES launched in the US, and almost 4 years prior to the launch of the first PlayStation.

That's futuristic satire!
