xenodragon Posted November 19, 2006 Can slopes actually be made for maps in Doom2 format? 0 Share this post Link to post
Bungleist Posted November 19, 2006 If by "Doom2 format" you mean for doom2.exe, then I'm afraid not. You can fake them by using lots of sectors, but it usually doesn't look that impressive. The recent Crucified Dreams pulled them off quite well, though. If by "Doom2 format" you mean Doom format (as opposed to Hexen format) maps in ZDoom and its daughter ports, then yes you can. The relevant linedef types are: 340 slopes the floor in front of the line. 341 slopes the ceiling in front of the line. 342 slopes the floor and ceiling in front of the line. 343 slopes the floor behind the line. 344 slopes the ceiling behind the line. 345 slopes the floor and ceiling behind the line. 346 slopes the floor behind the line and the ceiling in front of the line. 347 slopes the floor in front of the line and the ceiling behind the line. 0 Share this post Link to post
