Lizardcommando Posted January 11, 2007 I'm trying to look for some coop maps for Doom 2 that have that same sort of atmosphere like Quake 2. In terms of Doom 2 maps, anything similar to Dark 7 and its mission pack. Anyone have any suggestions? 0 Share this post Link to post
Antidote Posted January 11, 2007 I don't know if you can play in co-op (successfully), but the best thing I can think of that is Quake2-ish would have to be: Zaero. Edit: no co-op compatible... sorry. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted January 11, 2007 Dakening E2's design is heavily influenced by Quake2... http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=10782 - Vanilla Doom2 and my mod Nimrod is also slightly inspired by Quake2 (As in, I had played Quake2 once at a friend and thought it were cool) http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=11610 - Legacy GZdoom 0 Share this post Link to post
WH-Wilou84 Posted January 11, 2007 Try Zaero : http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=13597 It's absolutely excellent, the atmosphere looks like Quake II and some sounds are ripped from this game. Works only with ZDoom, though... Enjoy :) 0 Share this post Link to post

It's some lame bullshit about Windows XP being in a different language or something. As for actual suggestions, I've tried Nimrod and Zaero before. Zaero was pretty cool but as mentioned before, no Coop support. Nimrod was alright, but I'm personally not a big fan of the new sprite replacements. The levels were pretty cool though. 0 Share this post Link to post

Lizardcommando Posted January 11, 2007 I'll have to try that. Thank you. Now I will retract my last statement about your earlier suggestion. My apologies. 0 Share this post Link to post
