Lizardcommando Posted January 31, 2007 So I'm using Wad Author to make a single player map for Doom 2. It can run with vanilla Doom 2 as far as I can tell. It's the first map I've made in a few years. Anyways, I've put up these light things in my map but the textures for it are fucked up. How would I fix it? 0 Share this post Link to post
fraggle Posted February 1, 2007 Yeah, there is no other solution under Vanilla Doom. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lüt Posted February 1, 2007 You could make custom flats. I've done that a lot with awkward lighting setups. But sometimes it's just easier to shift the map onto a proper grid. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lizardcommando Posted February 1, 2007 Ok. So for future references, is it best if I have the grid set to 64 x 64? 0 Share this post Link to post

ReX Posted February 10, 2007 Lizardcommando said:So for future references, is it best if I have the grid set to 64 x 64? The default grid setting is 64*64. So if you do not make the grid coarser (e.g., 128*128) or finer (e.g., 32*32), any sector you create will be properly aligned within a 64*64 grid space. This means that you will not have any flats (i.e., textures for floors and ceilings) that are "misaligned", as in your screen shot. 0 Share this post Link to post
