KocaKola Posted November 20, 2001 sorry if I spelled there name wrong... but if I remember right there was no cacodemons in doom 2(I may be wrong its been a long time scence I have played this) and doom 64 I know doesnt have any cacodemons. So what in the hell happened to them? 0 Share this post Link to post
EllipsusD Posted November 20, 2001 Doom 2 had plenty of Cacodemons... I think they first appeared on level 8 or 9 (I think), and Doom64 had them, though they changed in appearance (they were given shackled arms and looked somewhat like Pain Elementals; the Pain Elementals were given 2 mouths and were a maroon-ish color with hair on their backs) 0 Share this post Link to post
dr_st Posted November 20, 2001 Cacodemons first appear in DOOM II, Map 05. There were 3 of them on UV. There are 188 Cacodemons in DOOM II, about 5% of the total monsters. 0 Share this post Link to post
dr_st Posted November 20, 2001 hoorah i have 100 posts! And I've just hit 200, and now 201. But I don't mention it. 0 Share this post Link to post
elbryan42 Posted November 20, 2001 Doom 2 has cacodemons all over the place. On about 75% of the levels. Doom 64 has plenty as well... do you see my avatar? That's a Doom 64 Cacodemon. 0 Share this post Link to post

dr_st Posted November 20, 2001 Naw, I'm not a hardcode DOOMer, but I have stats for imps as well, all on 1P/UV/NM: DOOM (Not Ultimate): Imps/Monsters = 719/2367 (30%) Ultimate DOOM E4: Imps/Monsters = 255/878 (29%) DOOM II: Imps/Monsters = 1223/3735 (33%) Stats are by Paul Falstad. I don't have them for Final DOOM. DMTHA can give you detailed map information, but not for the whole game. 0 Share this post Link to post

dr_st Posted November 20, 2001 The Cacodemon is the symbol of DOOM, even more than the Cybie and the annoying Imp. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kid Airbag Posted November 20, 2001 Heh, I just made a hissyfish avatar. But I don't know when it'll be uploaded, if at all... 0 Share this post Link to post
Zeratul 982 Posted November 20, 2001 There are no cacos in the PSX version of TNT however. 0 Share this post Link to post
Crendowing Posted November 20, 2001 Hmmmmmm, question: Why would there be Cacos mentioned in the manual if there were none in the game, NEWBIE????? 0 Share this post Link to post
Zeratul 982 Posted November 21, 2001 I wonder... Do you still find cacos in Doom 2 when playing on I'm too young to die! mode? I'm pretty sure you do. 0 Share this post Link to post

DooMBoy Posted November 21, 2001 I wonder... Do you still find cacos in Doom 2 when playing on I'm too young to die! mode? I'm pretty sure you do. Well, I'm pretty sure you do. I don't see why not. You probably don't see them until the late later levels though. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zro Posted November 21, 2001 There's always at least one caco in the "waste tunnels". But even a newbie shoudn't have to use "I'm too young to die" IMO. 0 Share this post Link to post

Run towards the gun, pick it up, get ambushed by cacos, hose them down...thats my strategy at least. 0 Share this post Link to post
pritch Posted December 3, 2001 poor old cacodemons.... they could use being about twice as tough. Two good (beserker) punches and... /hissymess. 0 Share this post Link to post
doomsick Posted December 3, 2001 don't worry, the caco's float among us... 0 Share this post Link to post
