Imp WIP

As the title says this image is a very early work in progress... basically I'm seeking for comment, suggestions and advice how to improve the final product and get it right!
I thought it would be better to ask for feedback before it's to late to take into account:



I've only seriously worked on the head and right arm/shoulder this far.
I'll post updates once I make progress!

Agreed. Some detail in the face would make the imp more menacing.

The chest and shoulder look pretty good so far.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely try to improve those things you've mentioned... especially the head doesn't appeal much to me anymore, it looks way to soft somehow.
Btw, in case you didn't notice, everything except the head and the arm/shoulder is only a rough template, so I have something to base further work on ;)

Looking pretty fab, so far. I agree with the others that it could use some more detail. Actually, it does look fairly intricate already, the problem is that everything is kind of blurred, which I think is giving the feel of lack of definition. If you don't want to go with more solid lines, I'd recommend deeper/harder shadows to emphasize different parts of the anatomy more.

Give it a more crouched position, darken the shadows and make the eyes seem to glow.
