What was that level?

It was 1994/1995/1996 possibly. The texturing was mostly grey and the height differences are nice as well as the lighting. It was entirely symmetrical and represented a cross shape

I swore it came with DEU but i never saw it again

DEU comes with Knee Deep in DEU, and a DEU acronym wad. Some versions had simpler demo wads, but I didn't see any like that. Maybe that came with some other editing tool?

The only thing that stands out of your description that would helps us in locating is the DEU part. Perhaps maybe there is something more you remember from it for us to better locate this particular wad?
