MilkShape - Getting models to animate?

How do I get Milkshape to advance in frames? I just figured out how to load up textures with my models, but now I can't get the model to animate.

You click the "Animate" button in the bottom right corner to go into Animation mode. Annoying, I know

MilkShape is annoying, at best.

I was wondering what that did...

...anyhow I clicked it and nothing happens.

oh by the way milkshape doesn't import vertex animation because it sucks too much to do that

I want to view Jedi Knight models without using the tool Raven or Lucas arts made, is there an alternative?
