BFG effects

I'm making a powerful weapon for ZDoom, and i want to use A_BFGSpray, the only problem i have is that A_BFGSpray doesnt carry over the custom damage type when it kills monsters within its range
its supposed to cause a certain death type for monsters

DamageType Vaporize

//some stuff should be here

SMPB A 10 A_BFGSpray("SuperMassivePlasmaBlast", 40, 100)
anyone know how to make it so that all the monsters killed by the A_BFGSpray will go to the custom death state?

posted this on DRDTeam.org and ZDoom.org, apparently this is a bug with ZDoom, so this thread is pretty much closed
