IIRC the latest ZDoom (maybe thinking of some version of GZDoom) does soft round particles, not as bad as the squares.

Also, whoever said Doom should look realistic?

Anyway, the particle fountain would add a bit more to what he has there now, which is a start.

Now that is a great door. Let me tell you, though. If you made that door in ZDoom, you could add slopes and gigantic red squares that fly out of the top of it.
