Charlton Heston, 84; dead

Recommended Posts

Just a reminder before some douchebastards start dancing on his grave:

There was more to this man than his NRA advocacy, he was, for one, a major support of Martin Luther King back in the Civil Rights Era.

While you might think (as I do) that the notion that allowing the citizenry to own a few handguns and rifles will give them any sort of leverage against crime and/or overbearing government is wrong, remember that he was fundamentally a good man.

Any bets on having him hold a gun lying in his casket at his funeral while some liberal nut shows up actually answering the challenge of prying that gun from his cold, dead hands?

The threads on Digg and Reddit on this subject was enough to make me leave those communities for good.

I've always known him for his role in Soylent Green, and never remember the NRA until someone bring it up for some reason. Chances are, after this thread dies, all my memories of him will remain pleasant.

See you in cyberpunk heaven, Charles.

I was praying for a Charlton Heston cameo in Postal 3 but...

Thinking back, this man had allot of memorable lines through out his career.
