Doomsday risen3D graphics?

What are the format of those graphics found in risen3D or doomsday wads because they are tutti frutti like in xwe or what palette do they use and how to edit them? for example those in risen3D wad.

The ones in Risen3D.wad are all bitmaps and are not intended to be edited

Those in Daniel norton detail texture pack too, I need to use them to test something.

Did they use special palette?

I just had a look at BIGFLARE.bmp and it is not in the doom palette, since it was done in 24 bit colour , not 8 bit. I didn't check the others yet I assume the others will probably be the same.
