Haloless0320 Posted July 28, 2008 Finally got 7kingdoms 2 working... It's good but the complete absence of large bodies of water irked me a little.I kinda like the naval battles. But I did get empire earth running again. 0 Share this post Link to post
pilottobombadier Posted July 30, 2008 Action-Strategy and SRPG for me. I hate TBS and have luke-warm feelings for RTS. Syndicate, Syndicate Wars, Dungeon Keeper and Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders and KUF: Heroes for me. And of course: Ogre Battle. Ogre Battle 64 is still the best SRPG I've yet to play (or at least the only one that hasn't thoroughly pissed me off - I hate the rest of the series, that's for sure). 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted July 30, 2008 I was disappointed by Ogre Battle 64. I liked the SNES version much more. I think it was the whole collecting armor to change classes thing. I preferred having to battle units right to get them into the right classes in the original. 0 Share this post Link to post
MasterOFDeath Posted July 30, 2008 I don't play strategy games too much, but when I do its usually WarCraft, StarCraft, or one of the older Command & Conquer games. I've also played a little bit of World in Conflict and it seems really good. 0 Share this post Link to post
Haloless0320 Posted August 2, 2008 I take it your ready for starcraft 2 to come out...I know I am. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kyka Posted August 4, 2008 Dawn of War is probably the game that I have played the most of all RTS, the only one that I ever got really serious about. The rest, I just played my way through the single player campaigns. The command and conquer series (except generals: hated it), Rome Total War, Starcraft (tho who hasn't), and just about any WWII RTS (Sudden Strike, Company of Heroes etc) Roll on Starcraft 2 Having said that, I will nearly always choose FPS or RPG tho. I like a good strategy board game as well (for example Risk or Barbarossa or... DOOM... the board game.(how ironic.)) Not that I usually have the time. 0 Share this post Link to post
deathz0r Posted August 4, 2008 I love my XCOM, Wesnoth, Empire Earth, DoW, C&C 1 and Red Alert 1 Freeciv is fun to play as well, so is TA:Spring. UFO2000 is a great multiplayer remake of XCOM, but it's not updated anymore :( I'd love to try playing multiplayer in UFO: Alien Invasion though, but I can't find anyone who is interested enough. 0 Share this post Link to post
shinobi.cl Posted August 4, 2008 Ground Control.... besides ITS FREE!! I love not to have to build bases and that kind of stuff. Ground Control 2 is even better... but GC1 has its charm The other is Homeworld 2... damn hard to grasp at first... but very rewarding at the end, with HUGE space battles. 0 Share this post Link to post
Haloless0320 Posted August 4, 2008 I just started playing Wesnoth, its a great game. 0 Share this post Link to post

DeumReaper Posted August 5, 2008 Seeing as how I generally suck at any strategy games (online I average an 80% chance of losing each game I play) I've been trying to stick to one game at a time so I can memorize the mechanics; I don't have enough time to play multiple RTS games so I've been playing Supreme Commander online a bit(might get the expansion eventually); I bought StarCraft in anticipation of its sequel, but I haven't been playing it as much at all; The Sins of a Solar Empire Demo was pretty cool, but I'll stick to SupCom. 0 Share this post Link to post
