Any use of a map ?

Hi, I was just hangin around, wishing to help... a bit... sort of... so here's my very first attempt at Doom level design. I tried to make something similar in style to the first Doom. Easy map, early level, about three minutes to complete, encoded as MAP01, modify to suit your needs.

By the way, it's GPL'ed (before "l" starts shouting again). Laaaaater. Peace.

Hi - I haven't played your map, and I'm not an admin for freedoom anymore, but I will point out that if you want a map included in freedoom, you should license it the same as freedoom, which is not the GPL, but a modified BSD license:

Well, basically Freedoom is dead, I mean on life support. Jon no longer is the maintainer of Freedoom and no one has stepped up to the plate to maintain Freedoom.

If you want to create your own Iwad based off of Freedoom that includes your map, go ahead. Heck, even post a link to it here and we'll make you the new Freedoom maintainer.

Oh wow, that's a pretty sweet map. You know what - assuming Freedoom isn't completely dead, I had slot E1M6, but this level would be a perfect E1M6 - actually, it's very much along the lines of my original vision for it. Assuming, of course, that anything else ever happens with Freedoom.

Thanks, but feel free to modify it, there are a bunch of uninspired rooms. I must admit it was just an attempt at doom builder. I also noticed a couples of bugs that should be fixed in order to make it work with Doom II (elevator tag, but we could just get a rid of this room -- and AASTINKY texture, which is default in Doom Builder and actually do not exists, replacing it isn't very hard).

Really, feel free to modify it, let's make a mix. (I'm making lots of Doom II maps lately, it's quite fun ^^)
