Given that dsdoom is based off of PrBoom, I'm going to guess that it can use a PC mod compatible with PrBoom. However, I don't see anything in the documentation on how to load them. But yeah, you'd find them here: http://www.doomworld.com/idgames.

They can't be loaded as pwads,you either have to load the data in prboom.wad or make a custom Iwad (which I can't find an Iwad to pwad converter)

Judging by that, I think you'd be better off to use a tool that merges the levels or whatever that you want to play into the prboom.wad rather than convert the pwad into an iwad. Just make sure to have backups.

All you have to do is change the file header from "PWAD" to "IWAD" (Minus the quotes of course :P) in a hex editor.

1.- Download a Boom compatible map/mod/TC
2.- Merge into "PrBoom.wad" with XWE/WinTex/SLumpEd
3.- Copy the required IWAD to your DS Root directory at the flash card. Same for the "PrBoom.wad" file.
4.- Rename the IWAD to "doom.wad"
5.- Play...
